Some wedding days are filled with hundreds of guests, elaborate timelines, and packed dance floors. Others are beautifully simple, intimate, and centered on what truly matters—two people promising forever.
A Beautiful Beginning at Duncan Memorial Chapel
Magen and Brandon’s elopement at Duncan Memorial Chapel in Crestwood, Kentucky, was exactly that.
While the chapel itself is known for its timeless architecture and peaceful atmosphere, this location held an even deeper meaning for Magen. Ten years earlier, her parents stood in the very same chapel and exchanged their vows. Returning to the place where their marriage began made this wedding day incredibly special, creating a beautiful full-circle moment for their family.
A Historic Chapel Full of Meaning
Nestled in Crestwood, Kentucky, Duncan Memorial Chapel is a hidden gem for couples dreaming of an intimate wedding or elopement. Its historic stone architecture, stained-glass windows, and timeless character create an elegant setting without feeling overwhelming.
Every corner of the chapel offers beautiful light and classic architectural details, making it a dream location for couples who appreciate timeless wedding photography.
For Magen and Brandon, however, it wasn’t just the beauty of the chapel that made it unforgettable—it was the memories already woven into its walls.
Where Their Forever Began
One of my favorite things about intimate weddings is how every moment feels intentional.
Without the rush of a large timeline, Magen and Brandon were able to truly be present with one another as they exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife.
There was so much joy, laughter, and genuine emotion throughout the ceremony that it reminded everyone in attendance what weddings are really about—not perfection, but commitment.
A Personalized Ceremony
One of the most memorable parts of Megan and Brandon’s wedding day was their heartfelt ceremony, beautifully officiated by Luke with Kentuckiana Wedding Officiants.
Luke created a ceremony that felt personal, genuine, and relaxed, allowing Magen and Brandon to stay fully present as they exchanged their vows. His calm presence and thoughtful words made the moment feel intimate while keeping the focus exactly where it belonged—on the beginning of their marriage. Kentuckiana Wedding Officiants specializes in personalized ceremonies designed around each couple’s story, helping create meaningful wedding experiences from start to finish.
Portraits Around Duncan Memorial Chapel
After the ceremony, we spent time exploring the beautiful grounds around Duncan Memorial Chapel.
Between the historic stonework, elegant architecture, and soft natural light, every backdrop complemented Magen and Brandon’s timeless style. Some of my favorite photographs from the day came from the quiet moments in between poses—the smiles they shared, the laughter, and the excitement of beginning this new chapter together.
These are the moments that tell the real story.
The Little Details
Wedding days are made up of countless little details that deserve to be remembered.
The rings.
The bouquet.
The dress.
The lace.
The way they held hands.
While these details may seem small in the moment, together they tell the complete story of a wedding day.
My Favorite Moment
One moment that will always stand out to me happened after the ceremony.
The nerves had disappeared, the timeline slowed down, and Magen and Brandon simply enjoyed being together as newlyweds. Watching them laugh, soak in the moment, and celebrate this new chapter reminded me why I love photographing intimate weddings.
Those authentic moments often become the photographs couples cherish the most.
