A Beautiful Beginning at Duncan Memorial Chapel

Magen and Brandon’s elopement at Duncan Memorial Chapel in Crestwood, Kentucky, was exactly that.

While the chapel itself is known for its timeless architecture and peaceful atmosphere, this location held an even deeper meaning for Magen. Ten years earlier, her parents stood in the very same chapel and exchanged their vows. Returning to the place where their marriage began made this wedding day incredibly special, creating a beautiful full-circle moment for their family.

A Historic Chapel Full of Meaning

Nestled in Crestwood, Kentucky, Duncan Memorial Chapel is a hidden gem for couples dreaming of an intimate wedding or elopement. Its historic stone architecture, stained-glass windows, and timeless character create an elegant setting without feeling overwhelming.

For Magen and Brandon, however, it wasn’t just the beauty of the chapel that made it unforgettable—it was the memories already woven into its walls.

One of my favorite things about intimate weddings is how every moment feels intentional.

Without the rush of a large timeline, Magen and Brandon were able to truly be present with one another as they exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife.

There was so much joy, laughter, and genuine emotion throughout the ceremony that it reminded everyone in attendance what weddings are really about—not perfection, but commitment.

My Favorite Moment

One moment that will always stand out to me happened after the ceremony.


The nerves had disappeared, the timeline slowed down, and Magen and Brandon simply enjoyed being together as newlyweds. Watching them laugh, soak in the moment, and celebrate this new chapter reminded me why I love photographing intimate weddings.
